If you can get a hand on a copy, go for it! Read it, love it and cry to your hearts content. I think this book would be worth republishing, even just as a digital option as I think this is a book that can be safely handed to teenagers to make them familiar with a sad but relevant subject of teenage cancer. How to Fall in Love: Christine Rose is crossing the Hapenny Bridge in Dublin late one night when she sees a stranger, Adam, poised to. However I think this also makes if perfect for the target audience (not sure reading it for the first time as an adult it would have the same effect though I still enjoyed the read). It is written for teenagers and that is very apparent in the simplicity of the writing. It describes the blossoming love story between Paul and Mariah as they fall in love how just teenagers are able to and how a tragic illness comes between them and tears them apart. For those who havent read the book yet, PS originally stands for Palm Springs but eventually during the read the meaning gets replaced as they also stand for Paul Strobe the name of one of the main characters in the book. You can either say it is because I was young and easy to influence or maybe it is because this is just a lovely book that never got the fame the other two books mentioned did. Whilst this book brushes along same subjects (Illness, losing a loved one) it went deeper or me. Years before The Fault in Your Stars and PS I love you by Cecila Aehern came this version of P.S. The memory of this book stayed with me and I never forgot the name of the Author or the title.

I tried to get hold of it a few times but only recently managed to buy a second hand copy on Amazon. Read it, loved it and never saw it again. Probably 25 years ago I got a copy of this book for Christmas.
